Moving at a snail’s pace, I kidney you not

Walk around Marais area nad am almost converted to Judaism by prosletizing Hassidics-supplement lunch with falafel sandwich. Robyn finds kinky shoes-dinner at Allard-snails and huge veal kidney

17th best turns out to be OK also

Metro to Louvre-only minor queue. See all the big ticket items amid throngs of tourists who all want their photos taken in front of the Mona Lisa. These artworks have celebrity status and are not there to be appreciated but to be seen with-what a bunfight! Especially liked the laws of Hannurabi which includes that any surgeon who stuffs up an operation shall have one hand cut off! What wisdom!
Dinner at Pierre Gagnairehttp://www.theworlds50best.com/awards/1-50-winners/pierre-gagnaire/ rated 17th best restaurant in the world, but doesn’t even have a Caesar salad on the menu! Go figure. Sublime meal-each course contained more ingredients than I would buy in year- Wines: Condrieu & Cote Rotie. About 14 desserts, all exquisite. Then invited into kitchen and meet Chef
Nice tradesman's crack

Arabella-not the song, not the dog but the opera

Metro to Opera Garnier, then fascinating tour of lavish opera house(thanks Barrie). Walk to Fauchon grocery store to stock up on chockies, then up the Champs getting ready for the Tour. Metro to Eiffel, then back to digs. We get dressed up and go to Opera Bastille to see Arabella(Richard Strauss) starring  the famous coughing soprano Renee Phlegming.WONDERFUL
